Starting a fund at The Global Center for Generosity – The Community Foundation is easy. Here are the ways to start.

Gifts in Your Will

You select The Community Foundation or an affiliated fund as the beneficiary of your asset by will, trust or beneficiary designation form.

​IRA Rollover

You can make an IRA rollover gift in the current year and beyond. This is thanks to a permanent extension of the IRA Charitable Rollover enacted by Congress.

​Beneficiary Designation Gifts

You can designate The Community Foundation or an affiliated fund as a beneficiary of a retirement, investment or bank account or your life insurance policy.

​Charitable Gift Annuity

You transfer your cash or appreciated property to The Community Foundation in exchange for our promise to pay you fixed payments (with rates based on your age) for the rest of your life.

Charitable Remainder Unitrust

You transfer your cash, appreciated property, collectibles or ag commodities to fund a charitable remainder unitrust. The trust then sells your property tax free and provides you with income for life or a certain term of years.

​Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust

You transfer your cash, appreciated property, collectibles or ag commodities to fund a charitable remainder annuity trust. The trust then sells your property tax free and provides you with fixed income for life or a certain term of years.

​Charitable Lead Trust

You fund a trust that makes gifts to The Community Foundation or an affiliated fund for a number of years. Your family receives the trust remainder at substantial tax savings.

​Sale and Unitrust

You give a part of your property to fund a charitable remainder trust. When the property sells you receive cash and income for life.

​Give It Twice Trust

You provide your children with a stream of income while making a gift to charity.

​Donor-Driven Funds

A donor-driven fund can be established as a donor-advised fund or a donor-designated fund to help you achieve your philanthropic goals. It can either be established and funded currently, or you can name it as a charitable beneficiary of your will, charitable trust, gift annuity, retirement plan or insurance policy.

Gifts to Community-Based Funds and Organizational Funds

You can support your town or preferred charity with your planned gift. The Community Foundation provides education, training, financial management and strategic development to volunteer leaders of community-based affiliated funds throughout Florida.
