This award honors a paid staff member of a nonprofit organization who serves as an outstanding leader for excellence in the non-profit sector. Nominations for this award are due by October 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
The nominee will demonstrate:
- Diligence, exceptional work ethic and enthusiasm for the organization’s mission
- Willingness to take ownership of projects and initiatives to maximize the organization’s impact on the community and the lives of those it serves
- Innovation in programming, strategy or management practices
- Success in a supporting role to enable the organization to obtain the resources needed to further its mission
- Leadership qualities that sets the individual apart as role model to other staff members and peers in the nonprofit sector.
- Must be in current role for a minimum of one year.
Nonprofit Executive of the Year
This award honors an Executive Director, CEO or President of a nonprofit organization who serves as an outstanding leader for excellence in the non-profit sector. Nominations for this award are due by October 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm.

This award goes to a dynamic leader who is an 18-35 year old staff member (part time or full-time) working for a nonprofit organization. Nominations for this award are due by October 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm.

Connie Ramos-Williams Nonprofit Publicity Award
Every nonprofit organization, regardless of its size, needs publicity to drive awareness of its goals. Yet, breaking through the clutter in today’s information-overloaded society poses a huge challenge to organizations of all sizes. The winner of this award is a resourceful nonprofit organization that has served to increase their audience reach and elevate brand awareness with limited resources through use of press releases, social media, events, and media relations. Civic Club of the Year
This award recognizes a civic club, association, fraternity, or sorority that acts or leads the charge to make a positive impact in Southwest Florida. Nominations for this award are due by October 1, 2024, at 11:59 pm.
The nominated organization will demonstrate:
The winner of the Civic Club of the Year Award will identify a community need, take decisive and effective action to fulfill that need, and inspire others in the process. The nominator must state specific instances where the organization has made an impact in the community.
For example: Development of a healing garden at a hospital, a city beautification project to plant trees along roadsides, the organization of a community fundraiser to help neighbors after a hurricane or fire, or the establishment of a scholarship fund for disadvantaged students. Impact can include performing the labor necessary to complete a service project (time); applying a professional skillset to strategize, initiate, and manage a service project (talent); or direct philanthropic giving (treasure).

Elmer Tabor Generosity Award
Nominations are now open throughout Lee County for the Cape Coral Community Foundation’s (CCCF) ENPY Award—the Elmer Tabor Generosity Award. Nominations for this award are due by October 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
In 2007, the Elmer Tabor Award was established by the Cape Coral Community Foundation with the purpose of recognizing outstanding philanthropists in our community, those who have a record of exceptional generosity, show civic and charitable responsibility, and demonstrate leadership that inspires others to a life on generosity.
Nominations are now being accepted for the Elmer Tabor Generosity Award. Each nomination may also be accompanied by one or two letters of support from as many as two additional persons who are personally familiar with, and can support in writing, the deeds of the nominee.
Criteria for the Award:
Nominees may be full or part-time residents of Lee County who have demonstrated generosity through their actions as well as financial commitments. Nominations may be submitted by an individual, a group, or through self-nomination. Paul Sanborn “Service Above Self” Award
Paul Sanborn, one of Cape Coral’s earliest residents and a charter member of the Rotary Club of Cape Coral (1964), passed away in July of 2017. The Paul Sanborn Service Above Self Award will be awarded in his memory to a southwest Florida citizen who exemplifies the spirit of Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self.” Nominations for this award are due by October 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
The nominee can be a Rotary club member or a non-Rotarian who selflessly volunteers their services to community causes or initiatives that benefit the community or its members.
