​Henry Timms, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation consultant, to speak at conference hosted by Cape Coral Community Foundation

​As Executive Director of 92nd Street Y, Henry Timms creates programs and movements that foster learning, civic responsibility, culture, and innovation, both in New York City and around the world. Timms is also the founder of #GivingTuesday, a global philanthropic movement that engages more than 10,000 partners worldwide.  Timms is a practitioner-in-residence at the Stanford University Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, a faculty member of the GovLab Academy, and a member of the World Economic Forum's Network of Global Agenda Councils. Listed on The Nonprofit Times "Power & Influence Top 50" for the past three years and named the NonProfit Times "Influencer of the Year" in 2014, Timms was also honored as one of Crain's New York Business "40 under 40" and City & State's "50 Most Influential People in Manhattan."

The Philanthropy Experts & Leaders Academy (PELA) is a private event for global and national foundation executives, limited to only 25 national funders. The Cape Coral Community Foundation will invite one local nonprofit partner with an endowment fund under its umbrella to be a special guest.

Join us for a celebratory evening on March 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. to recognize fund holders, donors, legacy society members and pay tribute to outgoing board members. The Elmer Tabor Generosity Award will be given to an extraordinary philanthropist. The Southwest Florida Symphony ensemble will provide live entertainment. A $25 donation is recommended. ​Now seeking nominations for the Tabor Generosity Award

The Cape Coral Community Foundation is seeking nominations for its annual philanthropy award, the Tabor Generosity Award. Nominees may be full or part-time residents of Lee County who have demonstrated generosity through their actions as well as financial commitments. Apply now >>
