Amy Ginsberg, the Executive Director with the Southwest Florida Symphony can’t say enough about the Cape Coral Community Foundation which is an invaluable source of support for the work of the Southwest Florida Symphony. She elaborates, “When called upon to speak to the benefits of giving to the Cape Community Foundation, we do so enthusiastically so donors understand the benefits of pooling resources here to make a bigger impact.”

Calling Cape Coral home, she is proud to be a cheerleader for the Foundation that represents her home town in such a meaningful way and whose impact extends far beyond the Cape. Though the Southwest Florida Symphony is based outside of the Cape in unincorporated Lee County, the Cape Coral Community Foundation understands how vital cultural arts is on a professional level to any given community. The accolades continued, as she adds “They ensure we are able to share the gift of live symphonic music with ‘Paradise.’”

“The Cape Coral Community Foundation means my community cares – not just about its own residents and the benefits we enjoy as a result of the work they do, but about all people and ways to improve lives everywhere.”

The Cape Coral Community Foundation provides Valerie’s House with a grant to help the organization reach families in Cape Coral.

The Cape Coral Community Foundation is an important pillar in the community.  Everyone we have met who is involved with the foundation has a great heart for making children’s lives better.

By providing Valerie’s House with funding, support, and connections, the Cape Coral Community Foundation has been instrumental in extending the reach of our program into Cape Coral, where many of the families we support live and work.”

I am an advocate and supporter of the Cape Coral Community Foundation and its mission of global generosity.

The Cape Coral Community Foundation is the catalyst for giving generously and wisely, as well as connecting individuals with non-profits and causes to make the greatest impact possible, both locally and globally.

The Cape Coral Community Foundation has positively impacted our community through its education and ongoing reminder that everyone can be a philanthropist. It’s changing the way people think and act, filling the gaps in generosity to provide opportunities for all individuals to donate to a cause or organization no matter how small that contribution may be.”

Steve Riggs has served as a Board member for the Cape Coral Community Foundation for more than six years and currently is a part of the Investment Advisory Committee, leading the development of our Strategic Planning effort in 2016. In addition, he has served on the Executive Committee, Corporate Sponsor Committee, and Co-Chaired the Marketing Committee.
“The Foundation provides me with the opportunity to utilize my time, my talents, and my treasures to give back to the community in a positive impactful manner, while working with others in a team environment to ensure the ongoing development of the Foundation in a manner that promotes generosity and sustainability in the years ahead for, and with, the community.

The Foundation has provided me the opportunity to enhance both my professional and personal networks, and the attendant relationships, through the exposure to many more organizations, and individuals associated with those organizations, in the Cape and SW Florida who are working to serve others, including the Foundation.  Through this, my awareness has increased relative to the opportunities, and issues, associated with our area and allowed me the ability to further use my time, talents, and treasures in support of those where a personal passion develops or exists.  For me, it is about TEAM….Together Everyone Achieves More, and the Foundation had provided to me an opportunity to impact the TEAM effort in our community to a greater degree!”

“As a local professional, involved in the business and nonprofit community in Southwest Florida, I am well aware of the great work the Foundation has done and continues to do on a regional basis. I am also very excited about some of the new initiatives begun by this board of directors as they look to build upon the Foundation’s long history of success by broadening the Foundation’s reach, looking for opportunities to partner with other like-minded institutions, leveraging resources to benefit our community on a national and perhaps global basis and educating nonprofits and other worthy organizations in Cape Coral and around Southwest Florida.”

Dean Piccirillo currently serves a member of the Foundation’s Investment Committee, reviewing the investment portfolio’s asset allocation, performance, underlying money managers, due diligence on those managers, and our consultant’s capital market outlook. As such, Dean was involved in the search for the Foundation’s current investment advisor. In addition, Dean and his wife, Monica, are donors and Foundation supporters.

“Personally, the volunteer work I have done with the Cape Coral Community Foundation has been very rewarding to me and provided me with an opportunity to leverage my professional education and experience for an institution that means so much to Cape Coral and to the broader community in Southwest Florida. Further, my wife, Monica, and I have been inspired by the new entrepreneurial spirit we see at the foundation and the desire to make a significant impact not just in Cape Coral but on a regional and national basis.”
