The nominee will demonstrate:
- The winner of the Community Impact Award will be an individual who identifies a community need, takes decisive and effective action to fulfill that need, and inspires others in the process.
- The nominator must state specific instances where the individual has made an impact in the community. For example: development of a healing garden at a hospital, a city beautification project to plant trees along roadsides, the organization of a community fundraiser to help neighbors after a hurricane or fire, or the establishment of a scholarship fund for disadvantaged students. Impact can include performing the labor necessary to complete a service project (time); applying a professional skillset to strategize, initiate and manage a service project (talent); or direct philanthropic giving (treasure).
